About the Doctors Dr. Thoman Dr. Thoman has trained with many of the leading experts in the surgical fields of implants, orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate, pathology and reconstruction as well as facial trauma. Since starting his practice in 1992, Dr Thoman has strived to provide that same level of exceptional care that his patients deserve. Dr Thoman completed his Dental School training as well as a General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He then went on to receive his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon. After completing his surgery residency, he practiced full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in his private practice in Honolulu Hawaii for 15 years before returning back to Colorado Springs where he now lives with his wife and two children. In his free time, Dr. Thoman enjoys running, bicycling, mountain climbing and skiing. He received his Bachelor of Science degree and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois.
